Steve Jobs of Apple Survived Liver Transplant

According to a report made available by Bloomberg, Apple Inc chief executive Steve Jobs who underwent a liver transplant at a Tennessee hospital has “an excellent prognosis”, as stated by the doctor at the hospital that performed the operation.
This would be the first time Jobs would officially speak about the state of his health since the time he took a leave on medical ground from Apple. This new revelation would definitely lessen pressure on the company which has come under heavy criticism for not disclosing the truth state of health of Steve Jobs.
Jobs, 54, received the transplant because he was “the sickest patient on the waiting list at the time a donor organ became available,” according to the statement. “Mr. Jobs is now recovering well and has an excellent prognosis,” the statement said. James Eason, program director at the institute and the hospital’s chief of transplantation, added that the confirmation had come with Jobs’s permission.
There were no details regarding the time the operation was performed, but rumor has it that the transplant took place about two months ago.
