Samsung A657 Now Available at AT&T

AT&T has launched a new rugged push-to-talk phone, Samsung A657, for its customers. This phone is built to withstand harsh environmental conditions and comes with an in-built flashlight which can be used for searching in the dark. It is designed with some rubber grips and coating to protect it from more wear-and-tear resulting from handling of phones than suffered by a normal cell phone. Built to military specifications, the a657 features GPS, A2DP Bluetooth, and meets military requirements for shock, vibration, dust, water, humidity, solar radiation, altitude and temperature effects.
The cellphone unit is also ideal for on-site jobs including transportation, construction and maintenance. It comes with a mount that can be easily hooked to a vehicle’s dashboard. AT&T navigator has been integrated into the device to provide adequate turn-by-turn directions and there are also supports for track teams with Telenav Track and Xora Mobile Workforce Management tools with dedicated GPS key.
More features include a Bluetooth 2.0 wireless connectivity and USB 2.0 capabilities, a microSDHC memory card slot, which offers support for up to 16GB of additional storage space. It also sports an MP3 music player, MusicID, XM Radio, as well as a video player with support for many Video File Formats.
