Neoi, a German company, has just claimed the “world’s thinnest” title for their new 906 Java2Me QWERTY phone.
Indeed the handset is delicate sharing the measurements of a credit card (length and width, not thickness) and looks more like a tiny computer than a mobile phone.
This Tri-Band GSM/GPRS monster features a TFT screen with 256K colors, a QWERTY keyboard (obviously), a FM radio, a video capable camera and a few very useful shortcut keys. Under the hood the 906 packs 512 MB of internal memory and a memory card slot (up to 8GB).
The company also offered that users “will get more Applications as they evolve in beginning 2009.?
Unfortunately there is no information available on pricing and release date at the moment.
