LG KC550 Comes Loaded with 5 Megapixel Camera
LG has released one of the cheapest camera phones available in the market today. The KC550 is a solid camera phone with a reasonable price tag. Unlike the higher-end 5-megapixel camera phones, this device is quite affordable and would not drain your pocket of your valuables all in the name of acquiring a phone. It is the company’s cheapest phone.
In physical design, this device is an attractive phone and it is well balanced, featuring a solid casing with attractive silver details. On its front, you’ll find a large, easy-to-view screen and underneath that, a set of well-sized navigation keys. It comes with a 2.4-inch, 262,000-colour screen that is sharp and clear, and bright enough to view in sunlight. You can negotiate the menus using the D-pad of course but each menu icon also has a number, so you can get where you want to quicker using the keypad – every phone should have this option.
The music player features all the usual functions and it’s easy to drag and drop tracks onto the handset from your computer or transfer via Bluetooth. KC550 actually takes video seriously, offering 720×480 pixels at 30 frames per second. There’s also an FM radio which offers auto scan and a maximum of nine preset channels.
An unexpected feature on the KC550 is the motion sensor that adjusts pictures to landscape or portrait depending on how you’re holding the handset. It also enables a set of motion-based games also found on the LG Secret, which are simple but fun.
Although, the phone does not have 3G, you can still browse the web by downloading the Java-based Web browser, Opera Mini.
The LG KC550 is being offered as a cheap and cheerful pay-as-you-go phone. It looks fairly classy, even if it feels less so, and it certainly has an impressive camera, even it doesn’t have 3G. If you are the type after a decent enough phone that covers all the basics and also has a good camera, you probably would want to give it a try.
