HTC Snap Available For Sprint Users

written by admin

Sprint has announced that HTC’s Snap smartphone is now available for its customers, and it is designed to keep mobile professionals connected on the go. The Sprint HTC Snap definitely delivers on the messaging front, and the Inner Circle feature for prioritizing e-mail is quite useful.
The slim handset has a BlackBerry-like form factor with a 2.4-inch screen and a full QWERTY keyboard on the face. The Snap features a 2.4-inch QVGA nontouch display that shows 65,000 colors at a 320×240-pixel resolution. It’s bright and clear. While still fairly sleek and compact at 4.5 inches tall by 2.5 inches wide by 0.5 inch thick and 4.2 ounces, the smartphone has a slick, plasticky feel.
Messaging is obviously the biggest draw of the HTC Snap. As a Windows Mobile 6.1 device, it offers Microsoft Direct Push Technology for real-time e-mail delivery and automatic synchronization with your Outlook calendar, tasks, and contacts via Exchange Server. In addition, you can configure the smartphone to access POP3 and IMAP e-mail accounts, which, in most cases, is a simple process of inputting your username and password. The Snap also comes with instant messaging clients and supports threaded text messaging.
Users will be able to surf the Web with the integrated Wi-Fi, or using Sprint’s EV-DO 3G network. The handset also will have Bluetooth, built-in GPS that can be used with Sprint’s navigation services, and a microSD slot that can be used to expand the memory. HTC’s smartphone also should be a capable multimedia device, as the mobile version of Windows Media Player can handle various types of audio and video files. It comes with 1500mAh lithium ion battery with a rated talk time of 4 hours.
