Sprint Launches Samsung Exclaim M550 Dual Slider Phone

All arrangement is set at Sprint, the company will be launching a new Samsung phone, the Exclaim M550. You can expect both an QWERTY keyboard and a keypad ready to meet your texting needs. It is designed with a unique dual-slider design providing the ultimate flexibility between a spacious, full QWERTY keyboard and 12-key numeric keypad. This sleek Samsung phone which comes in two choices of colours, Raspberry and Blueberry, also has built-in GPS that will support Sprint Navigation’s turn-by-turn driving directions and traffic rerouting.
Exclaim M550 also features a 2.0 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth capabilities and can support up to 32GB of external memory (via MicroSD) for storage of music, pictures, video and more.
Other enticing features of the handset include support for POP3 e-mail and IMPAP4-e for accessing Outlook Web Access, Contact and Calendar. The Exclaim also offers integrated apps for accessing Facebook, MySpace, YouTube, NFL Mobile Live, Sprint Social Zone, Nascar Sprint Cup Mobile, Google maps, Google search, Sprint Navigation, and Sprint Family Locater. You also have option to add Google documents, news, and photos.
The Exclaim has a rated battery life of 4.75 hours talk time and it is available via Sprint $79.99 with a two-year contract and a mail-in rebate.

The long awaited Samsung Omnia SCH-i910 is finally released for US and it is available at Verizon Wireless. Samsung Trance U490 Released for for Verizon Wireless

Verizon Wireless has continued is contribution to ensure it remains relevant in the forefront of telecommunication. This time around the company has announced the availability of the Samsung Trance U490, a slim, slider phone designed for users with an ear for music and an eye for style.

As mentioned, the Samsung Trance U490 is a slider style phone and is available in two color options: Piano Black and Electric Red. It has a 2.1” 176×220 pixel display which takes up most of the front real
estate. Located at the top (next to the earpiece) is a proximity sensor that will automatically lock the touch-sensitive buttons while you are on a call and the phone is placed next to your face. Once you
move the phone away from your face, the display will turn back on and the buttons will light up.

Sliding open the Samsung Trance U490 reveals the hidden numeric keypad with white backlighting. Along the sides are the volume rocker, lock/unlock button, speakerphone button, charging/data port,3.5mm
headset jack, and microSDHC slot that accepts up to 16GB memory cards. The Trance comes in a slider form factor and has hidden touch-sensitive buttons on it’s face. A 1.3 megapixel camera is included and it has 1GB of internal memory which can be boosted up another 16GB by using microSDHC. Output for music is provided through a standard 3.5mm stereo audio jack and there is also a fairly large speaker on the back. The Trance U490 is a mid level phone.

The handset uses technology developed by Samsung and Bang & Olufsen to improve audio performance. The built-in ICEpower amp delivers a deeper bass and clearer treble for better sounding music without draining battery life. Verizon customers can use VCAST Music with Rhapsody to choose and download from over five million songs or sync tracks, albums and playlists from a computer using a USB cable.

Additional features include Bluetooth wireless technology with Bluetooth Music Sharing to listen to music through two stereo devices simultaneously, a 1.3-megapixel camera with Multi-Shot, VZ Navigator
for turn-by-turn GPS directions and threaded messaging. The Samsung Trance costs $50 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a new two-year contract.

US Cellular Introduces Samsung Axle flip phone

US Cellular is now offering the Samsung Axle, a simple flip phone from Samsung. The Axle is a low-cost flip phone and an entry-level handset that sports a VGA camera and voice dialing with Bluetooth wireless
connectivity, and a speakerphone.
It’s measures 45.0mm x 89.9mm x 19.6mm (1.8in x 3.5in x 0.8in) in size and weighs 95.6g (3.37oz). Other features include a dual color displays and the battery offers up to 4 hours of talk time on a single charge.
The Samsung Axle will cost $50 after rebate with new agreement for new customers, and $40 for existing U.S. Cellular customers after rebate with new agreement.

T-Mobile unveils another potential phone with the Samsung t239, which is another great entry level mobile phone with slider. It is more than just a phone. It’s an attractive slider, a multiple messaging device, a digital camera with zoom, a mobile internet device and a personal organizer. And it can do it all without wires.
Samsung T239 size of 96mm x 47mm x 17mm, built-in 10M memory and supports microSD expansion cards. The Samsung T239’s features are definitely basic. They include: a .3 megapixel VGA camera, Web2Go, instant messaging capabilities, picture caller ID, 10MB built-in memory, Bluetooth & MyFaves. All in all, it’s not a bad basic handset. It’s fairly stylish, but you just have to remember that this is a basic phone and there are some features you’ll just have to live without.
While pricing remains unofficial, the T239 is expected to cost $60 on a pre-paid plan and include a $25 refill card. With a two-year contract, the handset is believed to be free.

Samsung Code i220 Revealed by US Cellular

Ahead of any sort of official announcement, the Samsung Code i220 handset has accidentally appeared on wireless provider US Cellular’s website.
According to the page, the Samsung “Code” i220 sports EVDO data, a memory card slot accepting cards up to 32 GB, 2-megapixel camera, QWERTY keyboard, a “jogwheel with 4-way navigation”, and a large 1480mAh battery. FCC documents for the phone reveal a version withtri-band CDMA supporting. AWS networks, indicating a potential release for carriers such as MetroPCS or Cricket.
The code will also support EV-DO 3G, for high-speed data connections, and offers up to 6 hours of talk time.

Samsung Introduces Its First Commercial Solar-Powered Phone

The Samsung E1107, also known as Solar Guru or Crest Solar is the first solar-powered phone to make its way to the market from the stable of Samsung. It is a dual-band (900/1800MHz) GSM which comes
with a large solar cell on its back cover that can keep its 800mAh battery charged when exposed to the sun.
The 800 mAh battery can be charged in the usual way, as well as thanks to the solar panel featured on the back case. Samsung says that 1 hour under the sun can provide 5 to 10 minutes of extra talk-time. In terms
